Reflect, Rest, and Rejoice!

It’s hard to believe that December is already here. The end of another year, and a time to reflect. 2024 was definitely a crazy one for me. There was a lot of change and needing to adjust, I moved twice this year while also running this business. Learning the balance of what’s best for me and what’s best for the business was a big part of my year, and the importance of stability. Even with the challenges I may have faced this year, I now feel settled and grounded in my new home. As I sit on my couch with my cup of tea writing this, I wonder if all of that change was worth it because of where I landed after it all. Looking back on the year as a whole, it’s a lot easier to see the accomplishments and good times, rather than focusing on the challenges the year may have brought. For me, this year was my biggest season yet. I started the CSA subscriptions, did some of my biggest weddings to date, got to travel for two weddings, grew three-times the amount of flowers than the year prior. In 2025 I’ll continue to grow, learn, and accomplish the goals that I have set here in Montana on the family farm. I can’t wait to see what this new year brings.

Ok enough reflection, it’s the most wonderful time of the year after all! I’ve always loved the holidays. I love the lights and the coziness, the food and the drinks, spending time with friends and family. So now that it’s officially that time of year I’m in full holiday mode. Getting lights and decorations up, baking all the sweet treats, and collecting lots of greens for all holiday wreaths. Be sure to get your custom wreath order in before December 8th! There’s just one week left to place your order for a 12-,18-, or 24-inch wreath. Colors will vary depending on flower availability, but you have the opportunity to note anything you would like on your wreath in the short form after adding your wreath to your cart. Whether you only want dried flowers, there’s a certain color you’d like to see, a style you love, etc. I will do my best to accommodate any requests that come in.

Beverly Blooms also has lots of options for great holiday gifts this season!

  • The new BB beanie (see below) is officially available and is the perfect gift to keep your loved ones warm this Winter, and rock the BB logo around town.

  • Beverly Blooms gift cards are also always available, they can be used to purchase anything in the BB shop including custom orders!

  • Check out the 2025 CSA Subscriptions for more gift options, treat your loved one to months of the freshest local flowers this Summer and Fall. Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a seasonal subscription for community members to support their local farmers. Beverly Blooms offers four seasonal flower CSA options: Summer, Autumn, Dahlia, or Full Season. With weekly and bi-weekly options. By investing in your local farmer, you provide the funds up front to help cover overhead expenses. This includes everything from bulbs, seeds, irrigation supplies, soil preparation, and anything else needed for growing these beautiful flowers. In exchange for your initial investment, you receive a bouquet of locally grown flowers every week!

Moving into Winter also means things significantly slow down for us florists and farmers. For me, this time of year is primarily used to plan for next year. I take notes through the entire season that can be anything from new ideas, things I can do better or differently next time, areas where the business structure and organization may be lacking, and much more. Basically, any thoughts I have through the season that I can’t address during the busy time I save for now. I make sure to allow myself time to rest, as this time of year is the only time I get to really take time for myself, but I also utilize the extra time on my hands. Both benefit the business :)

Between now and Christmas I’ll be making lots of wreaths, sifting through my season notes, and finding time to rest, and relaxing with my family and all the dogs at the new farm (pictures to come). I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season with your loved ones too. Next month is the Missoula Wedding Fair, if you’re an engaged couple mark your calendars for January 8th and be sure to stop by the Beverly Blooms booth to learn how I can help make your floral dreams come to life! If you’d like to chat before then, my 2025 books are open! Reach out or complete the weddings & events questionnaire to start the process now!

That’s all for now, see you in the new year!
